INTRODUCTION TO UPHOLSTERY: STOOLS AND SEATS
This new workshop introduces basic upholstery techniques allowing you to upcycle a simple footstool or drop-in dining seat.
Bring your own project to be guided through easy upholstery techniques; stripping back existing fabric and stuffing, making good padding, if required. Then reupholstering from the inside out, firstly covering with calico using a staple gun. And finally your new upholstery fabric.
This course is suitable for beginners and those who have a little knowledge of DIY upholstery.
Bring your stool or seat pad to work on, along with your upholstery fabric. Upholstery tools and materials are supplied.
Hosted by MADE’s Fiona Lambert.
Refreshments are included, for when you need a little break. The workshop will be delivered following current COVID guidelines. Spaces are limited so early booking is advised.
