DRYPOINT ETCHING WITH FIONA MAHER
Create a small scale drypoint etching using this simple technique – scribing into sheet acrylic to create marks that will hold etching ink then printed onto paper or plaster. Participants will learn a range of mark making techniques and how to print, with and without an etching press.
One of the original founders of MADE in East Lothian, Fiona Maher is currently “Print Club Producer” at Edinburgh Printmakers where she runs a range of classes and workshops in their learning studio.
*Bring your own images or sketches no larger than 20cm in any direction to ‘trace’ through the acrylic sheet.
All other materials are provided.
Suitable for adults. All abilities are welcome. It can get messy so please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on. If you have an apron or coverall, please bring it along although pinnies are available.
And don’t forget to bring something to take your work home in.
Refreshments are included, for when you need a little break. Spaces are limited so early booking is advised.
