RECYCLED PAPER MAKING
In this introductory workshop, Ali Robinson will guide you through the process of making handmade paper from recycled materials. This is a great way to use up scraps of paper normally destined for the recycling bin. You might know Ali from her popular workshops with MADE and her inspiring Instagram page, @doodlesinwool. She is a generous teacher and a real enthusiast for all craft making.
You’ll learn how to turn scraps of paper into pulp before finally creating deckled (rough) edge paper, including papers with fun inclusions such as lavender buds, gold flakes, and more. Each participant will come home with a few pieces of handmade paper of various sizes and colours.
You are welcome to bring any paper scraps you have at home (glossy paper not recommended). You can also bring petals, old prints, drawings, and photos memorabilia.
All materials and tools are provided. Suitable for adults. All abilities are welcome. Pinnies are provided.
Refreshments are included, for when you need a little break. Small classes, and spaces are limited. Early booking advised.
