INTRODUCTION TO MONOPRINTING
Join MADE’s Emily Tough to learn more about monoprinting, an exciting print technique which is elegant in its simplicity and leaves lots of room for experimentation.
Monoprinting means ‘one’ print and each print is unique. The process is done through mark making on one side of your paper, which transfers onto the ink underneath. This is a loose and imprecise way of working. It is a good way of creating prints spontaneously, and creates expressive gestural art work. We will play around with mixing colours, using cut-out stencil shapes, layering prints, and creating texture.
All materials and tools are provided.
Refreshments are included, for when you need a little break. The workshop will be delivered following current COVID guidelines. Spaces are limited so early booking is advised.
