Join East Lothian artist Megan Black and learn the basics of lino printing, a simple creative hand printmaking technique to create cards and prints for .. you know, it begins with C followed by hristmas.

You will draw and cut your own design in lino, before building up your image in layers and producing prints to frame or make into cards.

Linocut prints make wonderful gifts, as well as unique art for your home. This workshop will give you basic skills for you to develop and experiment with later.

During this workshop, you will,

• learn traditional lino printing techniques
• create your own design
• learn to carve your lino using linocut tools provided
• print your design by hand, using water-based inks and paints
• make your first linocut prints
