INTRODUCTION TO MIXED MEDIA – SEASCAPES
Following on from Fiona Lambert’s ever popular series of themed mixed media workshops, we’ll be working on an East Lothian favourite – the seascapes we see from our beautiful coastline.
In this beginners workshop, Fiona will show you the variety of tools and materials that can be used to create interesting marks and textures. Build up a background of different papers to work over with paint, or use line drawing with ink on top of decoupages. You’ll be able to experiment with acrylic paint, ink, pencil, pen and other media to create a unique artwork on a ready-to-hang box canvas.
Participants can bring a variety of papers, cartridge, newspaper, magazines, or fabric scraps. You could also use found objects. Just what inspires you. A favourite seascape photo can also help to get you started.
Mixed media is an expressive and experimental creative activity and did you know … we use these techniques on many of our upcycling projects.
All drawing and painting media plus a cutting board, ruler, craft knife, glue and scissors are provided.
Refreshments are included, for when you need a little break. Spaces are limited so early booking is advised. Suitable for adults, AGES 16+. All abilities are welcome.
It can get messy so please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on. Pinnies are provided.
IMPORTANT Secure payment is currently via PayPal only. You don’t need an account. You’ll receive a PayPal receipt immediately. Your booking will confirmed by email within two days.
