Using our materials and kits, this is a time for you to get messy in our studio, making, creating and having fun.

Discovery Day is mindful time and space for you to experiment and play.

Join Isabella in exploring the concept of slow stitching by making a decorative piece of textile art using fabric, stitch and embellishment. Isabella will introduce the basics, the rest of the session is untutored … it’s over to you to create your own unique textures, patterns and colour combinations.

It’s well known that creative hobbies can be good for your sense of wellbeing, not just for the satisfaction of making something yourself but also because of the calming effects of the process of making.

You will discover how to use the process of making as meditation and a calming time, to enjoy the colours and textures of the fabrics and threads as well as the rhythm of the stitching itself.

The resulting piece can be enjoyed as is, or turned into a decorative item such as a cushion applique or framed picture.

All materials, threads and embellishments are supplied.

Suitable for adults. Perfect for beginners. Refreshments are included, for when you need a little break. Spaces are limited so early booking is advised.
