“In October 1843, a package of blue and white photographs was delivered to the Royal Society by botanist Mrs Anna Atkins. These cyanotype images, combining botany with photochemistry, led to her being considered the first female photographer.”

Cyanotype is a photographic process that allows you to create extraordinary Prussian blue prints. You can use leaves and flowers to create botanical prints or make your own design. You’ll be shown how to coat your own paper and create a range of images, then expose and develop them. You will leave with a range of exciting and unique prints, perfect for framing or cards.

All materials are supplied, bring your your own foliage if you prefer.

Refreshments are included, for when you need a little break. Spaces are limited so early booking is advised. Suitable for adults. All abilities are welcome.
