We work with partners to deliver arts and crafts based workshops.
These include Fringe by the Sea, East Lothian Council Arts Service, schools, Haddington 700, Haddstock, Blooming Haddington and more. These collaborations allow us to widen our networks and offer events and activities throughout East Lothian.
Maintaining and developing what we do
We have big plans to develop our work, to increase our income and secure our future in Haddington.
As well as improving our venue in Haddington and expanding our team, we are working to become a registered centre for The Arts Award for young people.
Haddington stirred up its very own Goat Trail. No kidding!
In Autumn 2020, MADE in East Lothian secured Area Partnership funding for a community collaborative project. With plenty goaty puns – we loved them all from Vincent Van Goat to Nanny State to Holistic Kid and beyond – and some colourful design, 12 fun fibreglass goats were decorated by local artists, families, school and community groups. They were displayed shops, the library and cafe around our town.
ONE TO ONE TUITION:
Our resident artist-makers are available for 1:1 sessions on a range of creative arts and upcycling. We’ll have more information soon.
We take on a range of commissioned work to meet individual needs and requirements from upcycled furniture to bespoke artworks.
We’re always looking for furniture, fabric, paint, art and craft materials.
The local community has supported MADE by donating furniture, art materials and other unwanted items that we can re-use upcycle or sell to raise funds.
