In this beginners workshop, Fiona Lambert will show you the variety of tools and mark-makers that can be used to create a wide variety of paint marks – lines, dots and textures. Using easily accessible tools, perhaps even the “wrong” tool, you’ll discover that nearly everything can make a mark to express feelings and emotions – that’s what’s so exciting and unexpected about mark-making.

This is a technique that the Impressionists used to add life, movement and light to their paintings. You’ll love it.

Fiona Lambert is the founding Director of MADE in East Lothian CIC. She is a qualified Interior Designer, working for design studios in Glasgow and London beore moving back Edinburgh to set up her own design business. She was awarded a place on the Social Innovation Programme, which led her to set up REdesign Network. She co-founded MADE in East Lothian in 2016.
